Dr. Coleman is the founder and director of the Mindful Awareness Parenting (MAPS®) Instructor Training and Parent Workshop Series. The innovation of MAP is that it combines mindful awareness and self compassion training with a deep understanding of applied attachment theory. Dr Coleman has been studying and working in the discipline of psychology for the past 20 years. She is clinically trained to help prevent, assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of problems encountered by infants, children, adolescents and adults. Her previous work includes an award winning workforce development project called “Kindness for Kids” and her passion is Level 1 interventions (‘promotion and prevention’) in the area of parental and infant mental health. Dr Coleman was recently awarded an international fellowship for past accomplishments and future promise in the area of child and adolescent mental health.
